Nike Airs Get A Chrome Touch

There seem to be few items that have escaped the metallic touch this year, and now Nike Air trainers are following the fashion crowds, with the sportswear adding a splash of chrome to its distinctive shoes.

According to Hypebae, the new VaporMax String edition of the Nike Air for women features an interesting blend of colours ranging from tan and pink to grey. The material the shoe is made of looks very understated, but the iconic tick on the side brings a bit of bling.

The chrome tick is accented by the transparent sole of the trainer, giving it a somewhat futuristic look.

This particular version of Nike Airs will be made available by the company at the end of June, with other colour options promised for the VaporMax model later in the summer too. A pair of VaporMax Strings will set you back $190 (£146).

If you’re not convinced by adding metallic touches to your workout gear, you could always get involved with this trend by introducing some chrome to other parts of your outfit. Jewellery is always a good way to add metal accents to your look and by using chrome plating services you can bring any tired but favourite pieces back to life.

Another option for women is to use chrome makeup, which was highlighted as a top beauty trend to watch last month.

Chrome nail varnish and chrome eyeliner are just two of the products now on the market to help you add a bit of glitz and glam to your look, day or night.
